How Fashion Has Changed Over the Years

Fashion has changed over the years so much. From the 1800’s to now, it has really changed. In the 1800’s, women wore corsets. They had dresses for certain occasions. They would have some for nights, and some for days, and for when they went to sleep. They often wore gloves with their dresses. In the 1800’s, some men wore long coats. They wore gloves with every outfit, just like women, and they even walked around with canes. The fashion of the 2000’s is way different. Women and teens of this generation now wear more bright colors, and dresses, skirts, and shorts. We may draw inspiration from the 1900’s but we have upgraded the fashion. For example, Air Jordans have been out for a while. They were just brought back and they’re now better than ever, but they weren’t available in the 1800’s. Men and teen fashion has also changed. They wear graphic tees and they don’t wear coats that look like they have a tail in the back. 

Teens look at style in a totally different way these days. Teens like shorter clothing they don’t like heavy clothing. They like brighter colors and they are really into fashion. Many of them are into name brand. Some teens who are really into fashion will keep up to date on new arrivals for clothes, or try to get every new sneaker that comes out. I call this “being on their sneaker game”. Fashion has changed so much over the years. Some things have just been upgraded and others are just new all around. Fashion changes year-to-year, as well.
